High-tech society: for or against?

It is not a secret that we live in the era of high-tech devices that serve to make our life easier and happier. But are they created for our benefit, or do they carry something evil? It’s no longer a secret that some devices cab cause problems with health, but we ignore this facts because we think that they do more good than harm. Really, now we have a chance to communicate with people all over the world, so who cares about the very little possibility of illnesses? But scientists take care about the population of the whole planet, so they study how different technologies affect our lives.
